    FAQ

    Q. How did the survey results come about?

    A. The tree committee spent about two hours in each of our 13 closes, working diligently to survey all the trees in our area. They prioritized trees for pruning and removal based upon risk due to age, health, bifurcation, and location. The NC Forest Service came to Countryhouse to review our survey and to offer guidance. The attached list is the result of our efforts.

    Q. How can I tell which trees will be pruned and which will be removed?

    A. The affected trees were color-coded accordingly: red for removal, white for pruning, and red/white for evaluation.

    Q. How did Davey secure the contract for this work?

    A. The project was bid to 7 companies. Davey not only offered the best price, but also has an excellent reputation and the experience and qualifications that best fit our needs.

    Q. May I ask Davey about their schedule or work orders?

    A. Please don’t. All questions should be directed to Mill House, who will be providing updates on locations as they are provided.

    Q. Didn’t we just do this last year?

    A. Yes. We are living in a community with an aging tree population; this, coupled with the effects of severe weather, can pose health and safety risks to residents and property. This is one of the reasons why the tree survey and associated maintenance is conducted every year.
